Pumpkin Chunkin!

Ages 10-13, Adult participation not required.

Learn how different mechanisms work to toss pumpkins in the World Championship Punkin’ Chunkin’ Competition.  We will talk about the way different machines work; torsion, catapults, trebuchets, and centrifugal force! Then we will try to build our own and toss a few pumpkins. Bring a bagged lunch and a refillable water bottle.

Program Fee per person:
Free for BCNES members
$8 for nonmembers

 

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
