Volunteer Program: Great Backyard Bird Count

All ages.

The 19th Annual Great Backyard Bird Count is this weekend.  Whether you are a novice or an expert birder, volunteers of all ages are welcome to help identify and count birds.  Data will be used by researchers at Cornell and the National Audubon Society.

Location: Flag Ponds Nature Park

Naturalist in charge: Shannon Steele

This program is free.

Reservations are required by Wednesday, February 10. Register online, by mail, email to cypressswamp@co.cal.md.us or by phone 410-535-5327.


The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
