Registration is closed

All ages, adult participation required

Monarch butterflies need our help. Celebrate the amazing migration of monarch butterflies through hands-on activities, and discover how your family can make a difference by learning how to properly catch and tag them. One-and-a-half hour sessions will be offered throughout the day. You are welcome to come for the whole day; however, pre-registration is encouraged so that staff will be sure to have enough materials on hand.  Registered participants will receive monarch tags to use at home.

Location: Kings Landing Park

Naturalists in charge: Lindsay Hollister and Shannon Steele

Reservations are required by Thursday, September 29.

Program Fee (please pre-pay since staff will not have a way to make change on-site):
Free for Society members
$8 per family for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
