Entering Grades 5-6

Monday, July 24 – Friday, July 28, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Everybody loves to eat but where does our food come from? We will explore local farms in our area while making fun food creations. We will also look towards the local waterways and land for wild edibles to include in our cuisine.

Naturalist in Charge: Gene Groshon

Monday-Wednesday: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp
Thursday: Flag Ponds Nature Park

Friday: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

Fee per camper: Society members: $150
Nonmembers: $180

Calvert Nature Society is dedicated to the protection and preservation of Calvert County’s natural heritage and the creation of an environmentally literate and aware community.
