Free Program For Volunteers Ages 10 and Up

Help conserve monarch butterflies by gently catching and tagging them. As you help the naturalist collect data at various county parks, you will learn how you can participate in this citizen science project.  Transportation provided during the program.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Returning and new volunteers are welcome.

Location: Varies: Meet at Kings Landing Park.  After searching for butterflies there, we will take a van to Ward Farm Nature Park and try our luck, returning to Kings Landing at the end.

Reservations are required by Monday, October 16

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
