The 21st Annual Great Backyard Bird Count is this weekend.  Whether you are a novice or an expert birder, volunteers are welcome to help us identify and count birds.  Besides Kings Landing, we will visit Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary and the North Beach Marsh to increase our chances of seeing more species and numbers of birds.  Researchers at Cornell and the National Audubon Society will use the data we collect.

Location: Meet at Kings Landing Park.  We will then travel to Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary and North Beach Marsh in the county van.

Reservations are required by Wednesday, February 14.

Program is free.

Who are Calvert Stewards? They are the volunteer corps of the Calvert Nature Society and the Calvert County Natural Resources Division. More information can be found on the Calvert Stewards Volunteer Page.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
