Teen Homeschool Day - Shelter Building 101

This class is ON for Monday, January 8th 9:30-12:30

If Calvert County Public Schools have a delayed start time, our homeschool class will be moved to the afternoon from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.



For ages 12-16

From a one-person emergency shelter to a bigger, long-term structure - knowing how to create your own shelter could come in handy.  Join friends new and old to learn about different types of shelters, what materials to use, and put then put that knowledge to practice.  

Bring water, a snack, and wear warm clothes and shoes that can get dirty. We will be going outside for some of this class.

Location: Kings Landing Park

Adults are not required to attend.

Program Fee per teen
Members: Free
Nonmembers: $8 per person

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
