  • The Program Fees will be due upon arrival at the program as we are unable to accept online payments for Program Fees at this time.
    Fee is per child:
    $1 for BCNES members
    $3 for nonmembers

Nature Puppet Playtime: Fine Feathered Friends

For Ages 18 months to 5 years

Do you have a bird feeder at home? We will spend some time looking at the bird feeder here at the swamp, learn about migratory and non-migratory birds, touching feathers of different sorts and even make a mini bird feeder to take home. Finish with a walk outside looking for some of our fine-feathered friends!

We meet the first Monday of the month and introduce children to the natural world with puppets, stories, and exploration.

Location: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

Reservations are required. Register online, by email, by mail, or by phone, 410-535-5327. 

Fee is per child; may be paid by mail, in person, or on day of event.

$1 for BCNES members
$3 for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
