Flag Ponds Kayak Trip

For Ages 12 years to adult

Participants must be at least 12 years old.  Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. 

Take a guided paddle along the Chesapeake Bay shoreline, stopping periodically to look for fossils or seine with the naturalist.  We will provide the kayaks; all you need to bring is a snack and plenty of water.  Participants must help carry kayaks about 150 yards to the water. This will be a moderately strenuous journey; paddling experience is required.

Location: Flag Ponds Nature Park

Reservations and payment are required in advance. Mail-in registrations due by Thursday, July 11-Please call to confirm.  

Register by mail or in person (at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp) No online, phone or email reservations accepted.

Fee is per person.
$10 for BCNES members
$20 for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
