Prothonotary Warbler Monitoring Project

Registration

  • Current volunteers with any Natural Resources projects may sign up for free.
For Ages 16 and up

Join a naturalist for a short presentation about Prothonotary Warblers and learn about a nest box monitoring program that we just began at our parks. After the presentation, put on some waders and trek into the swamp to check some of the nest boxes.

Since we have a limited number of waders, please let us know your shoe size when you register so that we can try to have enough waders for everyone. 

Location: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

Reservations are required by Wednesday, May 28. Register online, by email, by mail, or by phone, 410-535-5327.

Program Fee:  
Free for BCNES members & current volunteers
$8 per family for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
