Creepy Crawly Critters

Open to individuals and families. Adults required if under 16.

Most of these critters are met with shrieks and screams, but come join a naturalist to give them a well deserved round of applause! Amazing defensive strategies, beautiful colors, and sweet personalities! What do these critters not have? Come meet some of these stars up close and get a chance to unearth some for yourself!

Free for Society members

$8 per family for nonmembers

COVID Policies and Procedures 

The Calvert Nature Society has developed policies and procedures for public program operations based on state and CDC guidelines. 

Please consider the safety, health, and well-being of all participants in our programs and stay home if the participant is ill. Full refunds will be given for cancellations due to health concerns. 

Prior to participation in any Society sponsored program,  we will ask each individual, if under 18 a parent, to complete a participant waiver.

Please download and complete the waiver prior to the program. You may complete it online and email to CypressSwamp@CalvertCountyMD.gov, or print it and bring to  the program.  The waiver needs to be completed for each in-person program.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
