Fishing

A valid Maryland fishing license is required for fishing. The parks do not sell fishing licenses.

Hunting

Spring Turkey Season hunting begins in mid-April.

Deer Hunting: In cooperation with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, limited hunting is available at Biscoe Gray Heritage Farm, Flag Ponds Nature Park and Hughes Tree Farm.

Hunting will be permitted in appropriate seasons and requires a valid hunting license and a daily reservation from Maryland DNR. You can apply for the Southern Region Hunting Permit through the DNR website. For questions regarding specific areas and other methods to apply, please call the Myrtle Grove office at 301-743-5161.
