Lower Marlboro Wharf

There is an increased interest in providing safe kayak and canoe access along the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay in Calvert County. 

NOTICE: 8/24/2019 Due to recent damage, the floating dock is temporarily closed for repairs.

Calvert County Water Trails

The Calvert County Water Trail Guide, “Water Trail Adventures in Calvert County, Maryland,” describes 29 miles of water trails in Calvert County.  The guide can be downloaded here or purchased ($3 to cover postage) from the DNR Outdoor Store at http://shopdnr.com/watertrails.aspx  or contact the Calvert County Natural Resources Division by calling 410-535-5327 or visit www.CalvertCountyMD.gov/WaterAccess.  Guides are available at sites throughout the county such as Kings Landing Park, Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum, Calvert Marine Museum, Solomons Boat Ramp, North Beach Welcome Center, Chesapeake Beach Town Hall, and Battle Creek Cypress Swamp Nature Center.
