Only 5 private cars can travel to the site--van space will be available.

Please join SERC staff to learn about their Global Change Research Wetland (https://serc.si.edu/gcrew), which is dedicated to unraveling the complex ecological processes that confer stability on coastal marshes as they respond to global environmental change. The 70-hectare brackish marsh is home to several long-term experiments designed to predict what the future holds for coastal wetland ecosystems as they cope with accelerated sea-level rise.

REGISTRATION: This trip is limited to registered participants of the 2023 PaxCon. A registration code is included in your reminder email (to be mailed around 1/23/2023) 

Registering for the field trip does not guarantee your space in the field trip or the van. A final confirmation of trip participants will be provided at the conference.

NOTE: If you carpooled to the conference and can only attend is if all in your carpool, please have one person register and then add them as guests. Remember, even guests must be registered for the conference. 

Conference Organizers have the right to cancel registrations if the participant is not registered for the conference, a person registers twice, or the group exceeds 20 people.

Note: There is about a 15 minute drive to the field site, with only 5 spaces for parking. Those not travelling in the SERC van will need to drive their vehicle.
