Bayberry Candle Making

For adults and families with children ages 10 & up.

Adults are required to supervise children under 16.

Homemade bayberry candles have been a holiday tradition since the 17th century and are said to bring  good luck, wealth, and prosperity to those who burn them. You will learn the process of creating candles from the naturally occurring wax of the bayberry bush, and leave with a bayberry tealight candle of your own.

$5 per person for Society members
$10 per person for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
