Adult Prothonotary Warbler Hike

Adults and children 13 years old and up

Every spring many species of birds will be migrating to their breeding grounds and pass through our parks. We are fortunate that some Prothonotary Warblers call Battle Creek Cypress Swamp their summer home.  We will go on a hike to see what warbler species are stopping by along their journey and see if we can find any Prothonotary Warblers that are part of our banding research project.   Birders of all experience levels are welcome!

Free for Society members
$8 per family for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
