For adults ages 18 & up

If your New Years resolution for 2026 is to read more books and spend more time outdoors, we've got you covered! Join our monthly hiking book club, Trails and Tales. We will read a new book every month and discuss it while hiking at one of our beautiful Calvert County parks. Meetings are the last Saturday of the month.

Our January book selection is "The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate: Discoveries from a Secret World" by Peter Wohlleben, and we will be hiking at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp Park in Prince Frederick, MD.

Free for Society members
$8 per person for nonmembers

Naturalist in charge: Kim Curren

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
